Hi all,
Well, our first gig.... went very well indeed. :)
Sound check was interesting, in that the sound engineer felt he had to congratulate John for having the loudest set they ever had!!! (nice one John).
We all set up - check our sound levels and then waited to be called up.
We got on stage around 9:30 and did our 25 min set.
Once we finished we were met with applause and cheers (which I took as a good sign).
So that's it, we have officially started gigging around and will post our up-coming events as soon as we have them confirmed.
Boleros have taken our contact details and so we hope we get invited back.
All in all I think we done really well as a band on their first public appearance and the feedback we got only reflects this more so.
Great turn out from our fans, partners and friends - thanks to all!
And again thanks to Boleros Bar for having us!

Band Practice - 29-06-10
Hey All,
Our first band practice in what seems like months!
(We though we had better get some practice in for the gig we have on the 14th July).
I must say that this was a really good practice session (it might have been down to the fact that we haven't had a full on practice in a while due to holidays, illness, etc, but it was awesome).
John did have a slight issue with one of his Toms rattling on the drum kit, but have hopefully sorted this out now? :S
The new song that was spawned from a great riff (ala Rich), is brilliant and we will probably be ending the night of the 14th with it (as long as all goes to plan).
I must admit, it took me a little while to get the riff nailed down, but that can only mean that we are now starting to push the boundaries on what we can achieve musically and so the rewards on mastering it can only mean better and 'meatier' tracks! :D
So, its all go for the gig on the 14th!
We have a 30 min slot, which we hope to play around 4-5 of our songs.
Songs in mind are below:
- Rising Sun
- Losing Skin
- Not One Kiss
- New song - Not named
We'll get one more song lined up if we have time left.
It should be a good night, and will be a nice way of getting us up and gigging to hopefully more venues in future.
2 more practices to go until show time!
Laters.
